A.L. 3-NITRO 1000 FEED ADDITIVE POWDER
Active Constituent: ROXARSONE (3-Nitro-4-Hydroxyphenylarsonic Acid) 1000g/kg
Contains 284.8 g/kg Arsenic
As an aid for the prevention of coccidiosis in broilers, in rearing replacement pullets and in turkeys
when fed continuously in the feed. 3-NITRO is effective for the control of Eimeria spp. of known
economic importance.

Directions for Use:
Restraints:
DO NOT USE in birds which are producing or may in the future produce eggs or egg products for human consumption.
Precautions:
DO NOT USE in ducks, geese or dogs nor for any other purpose or in any manner contrary to the directions on this label.
DO NOT USE with other arsenicals.
DO NOT exceed dose rate.
Dose Rate:
50 grams/tonne finished feed. For direct mixing the dose should be expanded before adding the mix.
5-10 kg of the mix or a mix ingredient can be used.
To blend a premix in a horizontal mixer, the following should be used:
(1) Add about half the carrier or diluent to the blender.
(2) With the mixer bar rotating-
(a) add the liquid binder (eg add I L of paraffin or vegetable oil as a binder) and blend for 5 to
10 minutes;
(b) then add A.L. 3-Nitro 1000 followed by the remaining carrier or diluent.
(3) Blend for 20-30 minutes.
(4) Product should not be used for more than 28 days.
Withholding Period:
MEAT: DO NOT USE less than 5 days before slaughter for human consumption.
EGGS: DO NOT USE in birds which are producing or may in the future produce eggs or egg products for human consumption.

Safety Directions:
Product is poisonous if inhaled or swallowed and will irritate the eyes, nose, throat and skin.
Repeated minor exposure may have a cumulative poisoning effect. Avoid contact with eyes and skin and
do not inhale dust. When opening container and preparing and using feed, wear cotton overalls buttoned
to the neck and wrist, a washable hat, PVC or rubber apron, elbow-length PVC gloves, impervious
footwear, face shield or goggles, half face piece respirator with dust cartridge or canister and rubber
gloves. After use and before eating, drinking or smoking, wash hands, arms and face thoroughly with
soap and water. After each day's use, wash gloves, face shield, goggles, respirator and contaminated
clothing. If rubber, wash with detergent and warm water.

Disposal:
Shake and empty contents into medicated feed. Do not dispose of undiluted chemicals on-site. Puncture
or shred and bury empty containers in a local authority landfill. If no landfill available, bury the
containers below 500 mm in a disposal pit specifically marked and set up for this purpose clear of
waterways, vegetation and roots. Empty containers and product should not be burnt.
Storage:
Store below 300C (room temperature) in a dry place. Keep container closed.
