For the prevention of coccidiosis caused by Eimeria acervulina, E. brunetti, E. maxima, E. mivati,
E. necatrix and E. tenella in broiler chickens and in replacement birds intended for use as caged layers.
For improvement of productivity by stimulating the growth rate and increasing feed conversion of grower/finisher
pigs and feedlot beef cattle.
Directions for Use:
Restraints:
DO NOT USE in cows which are producing, or may in the future, produce milk or milk products for human consumption.
DO NOT USE in laying birds which are producing eggs or egg products for human consumption.
Precautions:
The recommended use level should not be exceeded.
This product should not be fed to horses or other animals (such as adult turkeys) not included in the label claim.
This product should not be fed to animals receiving tiamulin (eg Dynamutilin, Tiamutin).
Care must be exercised when feeding concurrently with other antimicrobials. Medicated feed must be labelled appropriately.
BIO-COX should be mixed into a secondary premix prior to incorporation in finished feeds.
Dosage and Administration:
Poultry:
For use only in broiler chickens and non-laying replacement pullets up until 7 days before onset of egg production.
Thoroughly mix 500g BIO-COX 120G to each tonne of chicken feed. This produces a Salinomycin level of 60 g/tonne in the
finished feed which should be fed continuously as the sole ration.
Pigs:
For piglets less than 4 months of age: add 0.25 to 0.5 kg of BIO-Cox to each tonne of feed. This produces a
Salinomycin level of 30 to 60 g/tonne in the finished feed.
For pigs greater than 6 months of age: add 0.125 to 0.25 kg of BIO-COX to each tonne of feed. This produces a
Salinomycin level of 15 to 30 g/tonne in the finished feed.
Cattle:
Mix 125 g BIO-COX 120G in 1 tonne of cattle feed to provide a Salinomycin concentration of 15 g/tonne (15 ppm).
WITHHOLDING PERIODS:
MEAT: NIL
MILK: DO NOT USE in cows which are producing, or may in the future, produce milk or milk products for human consumption.
