For improved liveweight gains and feed conversion efficiency in growing cattle and lot fed beef cattle;
to aid in the improvement of milk production by dairy cows fed high protein grass pastures and by lot
fed dairy cattle; and for the reduction of faecal shedding of coccidia (Eimeria spp.) in sheep
maintained in confinement and the control of clinical signs of coccidiosis and reduction of faecal
shedding caused by Eimeria bovis and Eimeria zuernii in growing cattle.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE.
RESTRAINTS:
DO NOT USE in lactating ewes where milk or milk products may be used for human consumption.
Precautions:
Only for use in feeds for lot fed beef and dairy cattle, calves and sheep.
Not to be used as a single dose treatment.
Efficacy has not been established for use in heifers with respect to enhanced milk production.
This product may be fatal if fed to horses or other equines.
BOVATEC Liquid medicated feed may cause a reduction of intake when first introduced to cows. To minimise
this effect cattle may be acclimatised by phasing in medicated feed over several days during the
pre-calving period. Medicated feed is well tolerated after the introductory period. Provide medicated
feed for the duration of lactation and do not exceed preferred use rate for BOVATEC in dairy cattle.
Reduced daily gain may result at 5 times and mortality from 15 times maximum recommended dose.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:
Mixing Directions:
BOVATEC LIQUID mixes readily with liquid feed preparations.
- Agitate BOVATEC LIQUID before use.
- Supplements with suspending agents should be in a pH range of 4-8 and maintain positional stability for up to 3 months, with a viscosity of not less than 300cps.
- Conventional liquid supplements should be in a pH range of 4-8.
Ten minute recirculation of the medicated feed required daily and prior to use.
RATES OF ADMINISTRATION: BOVATEC LIQUID is for use in complete cattle feed, or supplements
to a ration, given by continuous feeding. Mix BOVATEC LIQUID evenly into stock feed or milk replacer.
1. General administration rate: For improved liveweight gains and feed conversion
efficiency and for control of clinical signs of bovine and ovine coccidiosis, BOVATEC LIQUID is used
continuously in the feed at a mix rate of between 50 and 300g per tonne of total feed (air dried basis).
Daily per head rate for cattle is from 0.4g to 3g of BOVATEC LIQUID. Daily per head rate for sheep is
from 0.1g to 0.5g of BOVATEC LIQUID. Preferred use rate is 165g per tonne.

2. Administration according to management situation:
A In total mixed rations: Mix 165 g (0.165 kg) BOVATEC LIQUID in 1 tonne (1000 kg) of feed on a 100%
dry matter basis. This provides 33 mg lasalocid/kg (33 ppm) in the feed. The following table provides a
guide to quantities of feed required.

B In supplements to a ration: Add BOVATEC LIQUID to the supplement at the rate which provides the
recommended lasalocid dose in the total daily allowance (kg) of supplement. Supplements must provide
an average daily intake as follows:
| Weight (kg)of cattle/sheep |
Recommended lasalocid dose (mg/head/day) |
Kilogram of Bovatec liquid per tonne of supplement when fed at (kg) supplement/head/day. |

C-1 In supplements to a ration - hand feeding pasture cattle: Hand feed continuously at the rate of
200 mg lasalocid per animal per day. To ensure equal accessibility for cattle feed a minimum of 0.5 kg
of the medicated supplement per head per day.

D. For control of the clinical signs of coccidiosis: In unweaned calves ensure adequate intake of
lasalocid (greater or equal to 1mg/kg bodyweight daily) for 3 days prior to expected coccidial
challenge.
In milk or calf milk replacer mix BOVATEC LIQUID into solution at 10 g per 100 L. This provides 20 mg
lasalocid/L of liquid feed. Calves should not receive more than 5 L/head/day of milk or reconstituted
milk powder medicated with BOVATEC LIQUID.
In complete feeds: mix 165 g (0.165 kg) BOVATEC LIQUID in 1 tonne (1000 kg) of feed on a 100% dry matter basis.
Supplements must provide an average daily intake as follows:
| Weight (kg)of cattle/sheep |
Recommended lasalocid dose (mg/head/day) |
Kilogram of Bovatec liquid per tonne of supplement when fed daily at (kg)/head/day. |
