No data available for the mixture. Information presented relates to individual ingredients.
May be harmful if swallowed in quantities above normal therapeutic doses. Irritating to mucous membranes. May cause gastric discomfort or upset. May cause irritation or damage to the liver.
Irritating to eyes. Risk of mechanical irritation in addition to chemical irritation.
Irritating to skin. May cause sensitisation, including photosensitisation, in some individuals. Chlortetracycline may be absorbed directly through the skin.
Irritating to upper respiratory system, and mucous membranes of the nose and throat. Chlortetracycline may be absorbed through the lungs.
Repeated exposure may cause sensitisation and allergy. Chlortetracycline can accumulate in the liver, spleen, bones and in the enamel layer of the teeth. Exposure to chlortetracycline may cause harm to the unborn, or breast feeding, child causing a brown discoloration to the tooth enamel or even damage to the enamel-forming tissues. Animal data indicates a potential for endocrine disruption and liver damage. Adverse reproductive effects reported in mice.
Chlortetracycline:
1500 mg/kg oral, mouse
750 mg/kg oral, dog
Chlortetracycline:
3 000 mg/kg oral, rat
If poisoning occurs, contact doctor or Poisons Information Centre. Phone 131 126.
If swallowed, do NOT induce vomiting. Give a glass of water.
If in eyes, hold eyes open, flood with water for at least 15 minutes and see a doctor.
If skin contact occurs, remove contaminated clothing and wash skin thoroughly. Wash clothing before re-use.
Remove from exposure, rest and keep warm. In severe cases, obtain medical attention.
Eye wash. Hand wash basin.
Product contains a moderate proportion of chlortetracycline. Irritating to eyes, respiratory system and skin. May accumulate
in the liver, spleen, bones, enamel layer of the teeth. May cause discoloration or damage to the enamel layer, or enamel-forming
tissues, of the unborn, or breastfeeding, child. Chronic exposure may lead to sensitisation in some individuals. Contact Poisons Information Centre.

None assigned.
* NOHSC - National Occupational Health & Safety
Commission (Worksafe Australia).
** [Skin] - indicates that this material may be absorbed via unbroken skin, and any such contact may invalidate the TLV.
Ensure adequate ventilation (same as outdoors) when using. If handling industrial quantities, or if dust risk exists, consider local
mechanical exhaust/extraction to keep airborne contamination as low as possible. Prevent dusts from contacting naked flames or other
forms of ignition, including static discharges.
Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Avoid breathing dusts. Personal protection to be selected from those recommended below, as
appropriate to mode of use, quantity handled and degree of hazard:
Eye/face protection.
Gloves - rubber or plastic.
Dust mask.
Face shield or close fitting safety glasses.
Gloves - rubber or plastic.
Impervious overalls.
May burn in a fire. Possible risk of dust explosion.

Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place, out of reach of children. Store in original container. Keep in container tightly closed,
dry and out of direct sunlight. Prevent accumulation of dust. Keep away from naked flames and other sources of ignition. Take
precautionary measures against static discharges. Keep away from oxidising agents, strong acids and caustic alkalis. Protect from
physical damage. Clean up all spills and splashes promptly; avoid secondary accidents.
Disposal of small spillages only. For large spillages liquids should be contained using sand or earth, and both liquids and solids then
transferred to salvage containers. Residues should be treated as for small spillages.
CAUTION: Before dealing with spillage take necessary protective measures, inform others to keep at a safe distance and, for flammable
materials, shut off all possible sources of ignition.
CARE! Spillages may be slippery when wet. Avoid generating dust. Carefully transfer to container and arrange removal by disposals
company. Wash site of spillage thoroughly with water and detergent. Ventilate area to dispel any residual vapours.
May burn in a fire. Possible risk of dust explosion. Contact with strong oxidising agent may cause fire.
Carbon dioxide, water vapour, black smoke, oxides of nitrogen, oxides of sulphur, hydrogen chloride. Incomplete combustion may generate
carbon monoxide.
Water, foam or dry powder.
None.
Water.
Possible dust explosion.
Breathing apparatus and protective gloves.
