Advice to Doctor:
|
No data available for the mixture. Information presented relates to individual ingredients.
Harmful if swallowed. Will cause irritation and stomach upset. May cause headache, dizziness, drowsiness, fatigue and loss of
coordination. Large doses may cause hypercalcemia, alkalosis, and a risk of kidney and liver damage. Large oral doses may also cause
"milk alkali syndrome" characterised by symptoms such as irritability, lethargy, stupor, coma.
Irritating to eyes. Risk of mechanical scratching.
Irritating to skin.
Irritating to mucous membranes of the nose and respiratory system. May cause coughing, wheezing, difficulty breathing, sneezing.
Repeated skin contact may lead to irritation and dermatitic effects. Chronic exposure may lead to peripheral neuropathy (a deterioration
of nerves and nerve tissues), and a loss of muscle coordination. Experimental animal data indicates a potential for adverse effects to
the heart, kidneys and musculoskeletal system.
Calcium carbonate 6,450 mg/kg oral, rat.
Salinomycin sodium no data found, but see:
Salinomycin 50 mg/kg oral, mouse.
If poisoning occurs, contact doctor or Poisons Information Centre. Phone 131 126.
If swallowed, do NOT induce vomiting. Give a glass of water.
If in eyes, hold eyes open, flood with water for at least 15 minutes and see a doctor.
If skin contact occurs, remove contaminated clothing and wash skin thoroughly. Wash clothing before re-use.
Remove from exposure, rest and keep warm. In severe cases, obtain medical attention.
Eye wash. Hand wash basin.
Product is a mixture of salinomycin sodium (and biomass) with calcium carbonate. Harmful if swallowed. Irritating to skin and eyes.

* NOHSC - National Occupational Health & Safety
Commission (Worksafe Australia).
Ensure adequate ventilation (same as outdoors) when using. If handling industrial quantities, or if dust risk exists, consider local
mechanical exhaust/extraction to keep airborne contamination as low as possible, at least below the TLV.
Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Do not breathe dusts. Personal protection to be selected from those recommended below, as appropriate
to mode of use, quantity handled and degree of hazard:
Eye/face protection.
Gloves - rubber or plastic.
Dust mask.
Face shield or safety glasses.
Gloves - rubber or plastic.
Impervious overalls.
Not flammable.

Store in a cool, well-ventilated place, out of reach of children. Store in original container. Keep container tightly closed and out of
direct sunlight. Keep away from acids oxidising agents. Keep away from sources of heat. Prevent dusts from collecting in storage areas.
Protect from physical damage. Clean up all spills promptly; avoid secondary accidents.
Disposal of small spillages only. For large spillages liquids should be contained using sand or earth, and both liquids and solids then
transferred to salvage containers. Residues should be treated as for small spillages.
CAUTION: Before dealing with spillage take necessary protective measures, inform others to keep at a safe distance and, for flammable
materials, shut off all possible sources of ignition.
Avoid generating dusts. Mix with inert absorbent, carefully transfer to suitable closed container and arrange removal by disposals
company. Wash site of spillage thoroughly with water and detergent.
Not a fire hazard. Not usually an explosion hazard. Contact with strong mineral acids will generate carbon dioxide, a simple
asphyxiant.
Carbon dioxide, water vapour, black smoke. Incomplete combustion may generate carbon monoxide.
Water spray or dry powder.
None.
Water fog or fine water spray.
No
Breathing apparatus and protective gloves for fire only.
Contain
No
Antibiotics may be harmful to aquatic organisms, and to fish. Prevent spillages from entering drains, natural waters or the environment.
