No data available for the mixture. Information presented relates to individual ingredients.
May be irritating to mouth and throat. Will cause gastric upset, nausea, vomiting and possible diarrhoea. Large doses may cause hypercalcaemia, alkalosis and kidney damage, and may also cause "milk-alkali syndrome" characterised by neurological symptoms such as irritability, lethargy, stupor, coma.
May cause dry skin and mild irritation.
Irritating to eyes. May cause itching, redness. Risk of mechanical scratching.
Dust may cause respiratory irritation, coughing, sneezing, nasal irritation.
Repeated exposure to bacitracin (and its salts) may cause allergy. Chronic exposure to calcium carbonate may cause calcium imbalance
(hypercalcaemia), kidney damage, symptoms of "milk-alkali syndrome" as described under swallowed above.
Bacitracin methylene disalicylate:
10,000 mg/kg oral, rat.
2,000 mg/kg oral, guinea pig.
Calcium carbonate:
6,450 mg/kg oral, rat.
If poisoning occurs, contact doctor or Poisons Information Centre. Phone 131 126.
If swallowed, do NOT induce vomiting. Give a glass of water.
If in eyes, hold eyes open, flood with water for at least 15 minutes and see a doctor.

Store in a cool, well-ventilated, dry place, out of reach of children. Store in original container. Keep container tightly closed and
out of direct sunlight. Keep away from acids, alkalis and oxidising agents. Protect from physical damage. Clean up all spills promptly;
avoid secondary accidents.
Disposal of small spillages only. For large spillages liquids should be contained using sand or earth, and both liquids and solids then
transferred to salvage containers. Residues should be treated as for small spillages.
CAUTION: Before dealing with spillage take necessary protective measures, inform others to keep at a safe distance and, for flammable
materials, shut off all possible sources of ignition.
CARE! Spillages may be slippery. Absorb on inert absorbent, transfer to suitable container and arrange removal by disposals company.
Wash site of spillage thoroughly with water and detergent.
Not itself a fire hazard, but may burn once a fire has started. Not an explosion hazard.
Carbon dioxide, water vapour, black smoke. Incomplete combustion may generate carbon monoxide, oxides of sulphur and oxides of nitrogen.
Water.
None.
Water.
Possible risk of dust explosion.
Breathing apparatus and protective gloves for fire only.
