Product Description:
Cycostat is a broad spectrum anticoccidial with dual mode of
action. It is the only anticoccidial from the guanidine group and is unrelated
chemically to any anticoccidial in use which minimize risks of cross-resistance.
Cycostat has been used for prevention and control coccidiosis in broilers in
Australia and New Zealand. It also has been approved for the same application in
turkeys and rabbits in New Zealand. Cycostat exhibits a wide safety margin for
broilers and non-target species at the broiler recommended dose. With its dual
mode of action, Cycostat is active against the first and second generation of
schizonts.
Active Ingredient:
Robenidine hydrochloride
Chemical group: guanidine
It is both coccidiostatic and coccidiocidal, affecting coccidia development simultaneously at three stages during the life cycle.
Safety and Compatibility:
Cycostat has a wide margin of safety. There are no adverse effects at 6 times the recommended dose (33ppm) in broilers, non-toxic for
non-target species at recommended dosage level. It is compatible with antibiotic treatment (including tiamulin).
Summary:
- The most effective synthetic anticoccidial.
- Both cidal and static actions on two stages of the cocci life cycle.
- Reduces oocyst output.
- Improves weight gain and feed conversion.
